Disney: Where you dreams come true if you can afford to pay for it.
- It was an act committed by a group of extremists and not condoned by Libya
- The attack was on the road in between the consulate and a safehouse. So it was not on American soil and in no way an act of war
- Chris Stevens died of smoke inhalation. He was not “slaughtered like an animal”, “torn to bits by the mob”, or “dragged through the streets”
- Those photos of him in the streets are of Libyans trying to get him to the hospital
These are the facts. They don’t make the killings any less senseless or horrible, but they do stop some of the rumors and insanity that have been going around. Shit like that is dangerous, guys. Thanks, and have a good day!
BBC News: “The Libyan doctor who treated Mr Stevens in hospital said he had died of severe asphyxiation, apparently from smoke inhalation, with no other injuries, and that he had tried for 90 minutes to revive him.”
New York Times: “Mr. Stevens died of smoke inhalation after a mob set fire to the building, and a Libyan physician who treated Mr. Stevens at the hospital was quoted by The Associated Press as saying he had tried to revive him for 90 minutes.”
Fox News: “ Obama and Clinton offered new details Wednesday about the chaotic aftermath. They said some Libyans tried to fight to defend the U.S. post while it was under attack, even carrying Stevens’ body to a hospital. The Libyan doctor who treated Stevens also told The Associated Press that he died of severe asphyxiation, apparently from smoke inhalation, and that he tried for 90 minutes to revive him. ”
