It's a fiction, not a moral treatise.

I'm a 28 year-old Instructor of Argument. It is my job to teach incoming college students that talking smack professionally is about having an opinion and backing it up. I teach young adults not only to have opinions, but to have a VOICE in their community and in the world at large. I inspire, I discourse, and I geek out.

I know I have a few people that follow me because of my political discussions, but you should know I also blog and reblog things for fun. I'm into fandom; it's part of my life. Don't be surprised if you see stuff about Disney, or kittens, or even my own artwork. Sometimes, I need to not be so serious.

I saw this picture on Facebook as I was scrolling through my News Feed. The fact that people would post stuff like that on Facebook, a site that is definitely no place to post horrific pictures like that, is revolting. Why cant people just let everyone else do their own thing without trying to shove their beliefs down people’s throats? Immediately after seeing this, I posted a status. It said “For future reference, people who are pro life, I dont give a flying fuck what your opinion on abortion is, but I’d really rather not see some drugged out bitch in a hospital bed with a bloody fetus next to her. Live and let live and stop posting or sharing or WHATEVER YOU’RE DOING to make shit like that appear in my news feed. It’s disgusting. And here’s something to think about: Would you want some random bias person interfering with your life choices? Didnt think so. :]”

So tell me, would you want someone telling you how to live your life, let alone trying to scare you out of your life choices?

I appreciate the sentiment here, because I agree. But that’s not a “drugged out bitch”. That was a woman who was forced against her will to undergo an abortion, which is the exact opposite of what pro-choice is, but pro-lifers like to use it to fuel their argument anyway. Notice that she’s tied to the bed.
This was a wanted pregnancy that was taken away from her, and to add insult to injury they laid it next to her and took pictures right after they were done ruining her life.
