It's a fiction, not a moral treatise.

I'm a 27 year-old Instructor of Argument. It is my job to teach incoming college students that talking smack professionally is about having an opinion and backing it up. I teach young adults not only to have opinions, but to have a VOICE in their community and in the world at large. I inspire, I discourse, and I geek out.

I know I have a few people that follow me because of my political discussions, but you should know I also blog and reblog things for fun. I'm into fandom; it's part of my life. Don't be surprised if you see stuff about Disney, or kittens, or even my own artwork. Sometimes, I need to not be so serious.

MEADE: A Society of Narcissists... →

meadeskelton:

I am not going to talk about abortion rights people any longer, but the Lord reminded me of something today. In the Bible it talks about lawlessness during the end times. People will be completely and utterly for themselves. At the very nature of this, many people will have no respect for others-…

You asked a question about who views children/pregnancy as a punishment? Here’s the answer: Anyone who thinks that a person should have to carry a pregnancy to term whether they want to or not they want to, whether they think so or not, is treating pregnancy as a punishment for having sex.

If you want to outlaw abortions, then you view pregnancy as a punishment for sex. If you have ever said “then keep your legs closed”, or “you made your bed now sleep in it” about unwanted pregnancy, then you consider pregnancy as a punishment for sex.

Period.

If you think otherwise, then perhaps you’re the one that’s a bit narcissistic.

I commend the President for showing that view for what it really is.
