fosterthekillers asked: What is inaccurate with that photo?
Find me an unbiased source on it that says that it’s real, first off. (I mean the final graphic, naturally.) Every time I’ve seen it posted, it has been sourceless and often tied to inaccurate time frames for fetal development (usually 11-12 weeks despite that a fetus is nowhere near that size by then). Logically, I therefore do not accept it as an accurate representation. If it were presented to me as a visual in an argumentative paper in my class, I would have to reject it as a source on those grounds and require my students to do more research.
But in fairness, I also responded too quickly to your post as a knee-jerk reaction. It was actually likely banned from Facebook because someone, or several people, flagged it as inappropriate and graphically disturbing. I’ve seen people remark that posts giving directions about induced miscarriages are permitted to stay up, but I also see them taken down constantly. It’s the same on both sides. You flag it, the staff looks at it, and if they agree then they remove it.
